Nino Palazzolo, CEO and Musical Director

Teacher, lyricist, poet, musician, singer, composer, arranger, producer, entertainer, director and conductor. All of these words facilitate in describing the talents of this artist.

Nino completed his post secondary education at the University of Windsor and holds a Bachelor of Music Degree, and Bachelor of Ed., Honours.

Over the past 20 years, Nino Palazzolo has performed in the music scene in Canada and abroad. He has toured and performed in England for the Royal Family, Japan, China and the United States.

From 1974 to 1976, Nino worked in several bands managed by Steve Propas and Neil Dixon of Solid Gold Records, arranging music for the Cherill and Robbie Rae show.

As a composer, he has a large repertoire of songs in various styles. Nino wrote the music for a CBC radio drama, "the Birthday". Other notable works include the "Cardinal Carter School Song", an original musical for a teenage cast, " Celebrate Life '92", also the music for " Ubi Est Conflictus" a dance ensemble piece in 3 movements using computer assisted music and a live percussion ensemble. His music, the "Celebrate Life Theme" was used in the opening ceremonies of the Windsor/Detroit Freedom Festival Centennial '94.

Nino has recently completed the theme music for the cable television show, "Get Busy With Living", which appeared on Shaw Communications Network (now Cogeco) in the Southwestern region and Metro area. He is also currently working on "Y2K, The Millenium " music in 4 movements which reflects information break down and it's effects on humanity.

Nino Palazzolo also has vast experience in the recording studio as a producer, and has over 20 years of expertise as a sound reinforcement operator. He has produced several recordings for various local artists as well as his own original projects. His primary instruments include guitar, bass, keyboards, oboe, sax, and voice. In the past 15 years he has also developed skills as a computer music specialist.

Nino has performed in many ensembles of varying styles including rock, top forty, original music, jazz, orchestral, traditional concert band, dance, and acappella. This talent has been expressed through a series of performing groups like Daniel, Blue Water Fountain, Tin Pan Alley, Joy, Fiesta, Albatross, Soldier, Hollywood, The Art Ensemble, The Showmen, and Europa. Nino has also performed in the duo "Rainbows & Sunshine" providing wedding ceremony music in a variety of churches and dinner/dance venue’s.

Nino has always shared his love and talent for music with others. His career as Music Director and Teacher at the High School level has landed him his current position at St. Thomas of Villa Nova Secondary School in La Salle, Ontario. Prior to that he held similar positions at Catholic Central in Windsor and Cardinal Carter in Leamington.

Currently Nino is the managing Director of Canada's Premiere Show Band, "Music Express". This group of highly talented singers and musicians has performed for audiences all over the world. Through his keen leadership skills and passion for music and entertainment, Nino has played a very significant role in this organizations tremendous success of twenty-five years.
